Where to stay
On campus, there is only one place to stay, the student Residencia Erasmo (1). But availability might be very limited.
We recommend you to book a hotel near any of the stations of Cercanías train line C4. The station for IFT is "Cantoblanco Universidad". From the station it is a 15 min walk to IFT. Some convenient areas where to book a hotel:
- Chamartín: Closer to campus but further from the city centre (~7 km). A bit industrial.
- Nuevos Ministerios: Mid-way between the city centre (~4 km) and the north of it. Finantial area.
- Sol: The very city centre. Many restaurants, shops and bars around. A few landmarks there.
- Atocha: Quite central region in the city. Next to Retiro Park and the Art Mille.
Beyond train connections:
- Plaza Castilla: In the northern region of Madrid. There is no train station but there is a bus (714) to Campus (with a stop close to IFT building).
- Alcobendas: A separate quieter town, maybe ok if you do not plan to attend social activities. There is a bus connecting to Campus.
