Electroweak Physics InterseCtions — EPIC 2024 is the first workshop dedicated to precision electroweak physics, which is one of the main avenues to test predictions of the standard model, extract its fundamental parameters and look for signals of physics beyond the standard model. A special poster session will also be held.

Please, visit the main website here.

The EPIC 2024 workshop program consists of plenary sessions only, all in presence, covering the following topics:

  • Precision tests of the Standard Model and beyond with atomic nuclei
  • Lepton- and Neutrino-Nucleus interactions
  • Nuclear matter across energy scales and multi-messenger astronomy

Given the interdisciplinary nature of the workshop and the expected participation of PhD students and young researchers, we also organise a one-day pre-workshop school to be held on the 22nd of September. This will be made up of three lectures that should help students get acquainted with the material. The lectures will be on precision physics with atoms, neutrino physics, and nuclear Equation of States in the multimessenger era. Students will also participate in the workshop with a poster and a focus-talk. Two prizes for the best posters will be assigned at the end of the workshop.

The workshop will be held at the CalaSerena resort in Geremeas, a beautiful and modern 4-star beach resort, 40 minutes from the city of Cagliari in Sardinia (Italy).

The CalaSerena village is immersed in a suggestive forest of poplars, eucalyptus and tamarisks that connects it to the sea (at an average distance of 450 m). For more information about the village and the available services visit this link. More information on the conference venue is available on the workshop's main website.
